Your Trusted Attorney for Business Law and Estate Planning
With more than twelve years serving the business community, Erik Frias understands the challenges faced by today’s small businesses and is able to anticipate needs and address legal issues before they arise.
Erik provides legal and strategic advice for businesses in a variety of industries, including software and technology, manufacturing, marketing, home services, and health care. In that capacity, he regularly provides advice to clients on issues relevant to these industries, including governance, employment, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and contracts.
Erik also provides advice and representation to regulated entities, such as broker-dealers, investment advisers, investment bankers, and issuers on compliance with the federal securities laws and in connection with enforcement investigations by various securities regulators.
Additionally, Erik assists individuals and families in crafting sophisticated, custom estate plans, preserving “Values and Valuables” for future generations. From wills, trusts and business succession, to jointly owned property and life insurance, Erik takes the time to question and review in order to ensure that his clients’ intentions are legally sound and secure, avoid or reduce tax liabilities, prevent future disputes, and assets and investments are protected.
Erik graduated Magna Cum Laude from George Mason University School of Law, and was recognized upon graduation with the West Publishing Company Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. While a student, he concentrated his studies in Corporate and Securities Law and served as an editor on the George Mason Law Review. A particular source of pride is the fact that he was able to accomplish all of this while maintaining a full-time job and attending classes in the evenings.
Erik supports his community through both business and charitable volunteerism and contribution and this is recognized by the accolades given by his clients, causes and local news entities. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Virginia SuperLawyers each year from 2010-2015. He has been recognized among the best lawyers in Loudoun County by Leesburg Today in its annual Best of Loudoun poll. And he was recognized as “Best Lawyer” in the Posh Seven Magazine’s 2015 Best of Suburbia Survey. He lives in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife Christine and their two children, and he loves to spend his free time outdoors, where he has coached baseball and softball for several years.
